In the community
Good information shouldn’t depend on whether you can afford a lawyer
So we share it freely — at libraries, community centres and wherever York Region families need it.

Free family law information evenings
Once a month, one of our lawyers hosts a free, informal information evening at a local public library. We cover topics like the first steps after separation, parenting plans and how support works, then answer general questions. No registration fees, no sales pitch, just clear information for people who need it.
Volunteer duty counsel support
Many people arrive at family court without a lawyer. Our team volunteers time to support duty counsel and legal clinic programs, helping people understand their forms, their options and what to expect on the day, so that nobody has to face the process completely alone.
Supporting local children’s charities
Separation affects children most of all. Each year we sponsor a local children’s charity that supports families in York Region, from school supply drives to programs for kids going through big changes at home. Our team also volunteers at events throughout the year.
